After a scorching Sunday, today's walk from the Falcon Inn at Painswick was a wet one.  Dogs are allowed in the bar, and they enjoyed clearing up a spilled pint of Butcombe.

Coberley from Leckhampton Hill

Lovely day today so decided to do a short walk from the top of Leckhampton Hill to Coberley.  The poppy fields were in full bloom.  The top car park on Hartley Lane is a good start but there's no pub.  We had lunch in the Exmouth Arms as they were running a local festival.  Very pleasant afternoon.

The Royal Oak, Prestbury

Today's walk was up onto Cleeve Hill from the Royal Oak in Prestbury.  To keep within time we parked in Noverton Lane and drove back to the pub.  No dogs inside but it was mild enough to sit out.  Very nice dinner of sirloin in peppery sauce, chips and a little side side salad with pesto dressing.

Suck Stone, Forest of Dean

While not strictly a weekday walk, this weekend went in search of the Suck stone near the village of Saunton.  The round trip goes down to the Wye and Biblings bridge.
